Landowner Co-op Origin: In SE Ohio, oil and gas companies are targeting families with mineral rich lands to drill, or lay pipes. Some Landowners who have been approached by oil and gas companies found discrepancies in the leasing and mineral rights negotiations offered to them compared to other landowners in the area. By getting organized, landowners can leverage their size to negotiate the most for their leasing and mineral rights.

The Cooperative also exists to protect the Landowners newly accumulated assets from government taxation and other draining factors.
